Companies to steer clear of.

Hi
Can we have a section called companies to steer clear of?
Because its taken 4 days for DHL TO NOT DELIVER 4 PARCELS THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED 3 DAYS AGO.

All the couriers are struggling at the moment.
Back log from the snow. We have lots of collections and deliveries and they're all affected.......some stuff just disappearing into a back hole!

The DHL next day service has got a heavy back log at the moment for delivers that were placed when the bad weather hit.

We have a account with them and having to ring daily to try and find some parcels that are in the black hole.

But I will be fair to them, we have been using them for over a year now and this is only the second time we have had a issue.

I hope you get it sorted.

To be fair I've always found dhl to be very reliable much better than royal mail for example. Must be the weather and build upto christmas.

It has now taken DHL 6days to not deliver 4 parcels that were supposed to be delivered 5 days ago.
They truly are a bunch of merchant bankers.

I had similar problems with a delivery before Christmas with City Link, be careful as we assumed the delay was due to a back log, but it transpired the parcel was actually deemed lost. Such companies only allow a certain time to officially report items as lost or damaged, after which you have no come back. Worth checking the small print.

Nigel, as may have been mentioned, check to ensure the items haven't been lost in transit or stolen. I waited 3 weeks for an LCD TV from Amazon - which was on a 48 hour delivery backorder ... I was tracing the dispatch via a consignment number but it never arrived to me after being delivered to the Wrexham carrier hub. I had to arrange for a new item to be delivered which took only 2 days after notification ...

I've put them in my boot and will take them to the depot myself.

Shame as they managed to use a telephone when collecting the other 2 sets before Christmas.

Finally got my wheels delivered by DHL EXACTLY 29 DAYS LATE. I paid for a 24 hour service it probably says in their terms and conditions that I should specify which 24 hours in the month i actually wanted the delivery.

Nigel.
