At Miguel:
I changed the clutch on my mk2 at 70k, when the engine was replaced, and at 150k, when I did some major work on the engine.
The clutch which came out at 150k, and ran 80k (kilometers by the way) had only worn off less than 0.1mm. Still it slipped quite a bit when doing kinda drop clutch things. Close to my planned engine removal, I decided to give the clutch a heavy beating, since it would be removed anyway, but surprisingly, it held, although it smelled quite bad from times to times.
Also the frictionplates weren't really overheated since they didn't collorise, like they normally do when you burn the cluth.
For the upgrade, I haven't really had much time to look into that, but I know, that Hugher also has an uprated clutch in their programm, I don't know what it is though. If their is enough interest I could ask them if they want to make an offer.
