Hi,

Any one know whats involved in changing the clutch on a MK1 V6?

Also do you know if there are an common problems with the clutch cables getting stiff and releasing quickly and making the clutch pedal heavy?

Oh and when are the cam belts supposed to be changed?

Cheers for any advice.

Matt

Yes ClarkieV6!! Just did it on mine.

One tip:
I made a little trolly of plywood which has been profiled with the underside of the engine/gearbox, with 4 turnable wheels.
It came very very handy when I put back in the engine.
Very easy to move and position the assembly when you lower the car over the engine.

Also don't forget to change the driveshaftseal on the engine side of the gearbox. Easy job when you take out the engine anyway and it's only about 8 pound for the seal.
