Clutch Biting Point

Hi All,

Newbie here :D

As some of you may know i purchased Will's phase 1 vee a few weeks back, which i absolutely love! stunning car, immaculate inside and out so i am a happy chappy!

One question i do have though is regarding the clutch biting point. The biting point on the vee feels incredibly high, almost as if the clutch pedal cant get any higher when it actually engages. I have owned a 172 cup and 182, both of which also had high biting points.

I guess I am just seeing if this is normal amongst other V6's? any comments are welcome :)

Thanks

Hi Nick,

Probably just a worn clutch mate. My Vee has always been like that.

I had a new clutch fitted this year by SGM and the bite feels great.

Hope this helps!

Phil.

Ok cool, thanks for the opinions guys.

Dont get me wrong, the biting point is high but it feels absolutly fine to drive! I remember my 182 had a high biting point and that had only done 32k miles! Think its part wear and part how it is supposed to be :)

Does it slip when you drive fast through the gears? Mine did and the bite was high. Had a new DMF and clutch fitted a few months back

Mine was driving fine but when changing at high revs quickly through the gears, it was beginning to slip a little on change. Wasn't really getting in the way, but had it changed anyway.
