Here it is..!

Official v6Clio.net trip to Montlhery

This is our formal invitation from our friends at ClioV6Passion in France. Linas-Montlhery 2013 !

Similar kind of thing to last year, but will spend some time adding an even more pleasing route down to the circuit, which will of course include the 'A86 West' tunnel under Paris. ;) Possibly detouring past the Palace of Versailles while we're in the vicinity, which is just West of the South exit/entrance of the tunnel.

More updates regarding other things to do and see whilst on the drive there and back very soon.!

Our invite from Vincent:

" Dear fans et friends from UK,

Today we formalize THE 2013 annual international meeting of the Clio V6 and indeed all owners and enthusiasts of the Vee from all corners of Europe have appointments on October, 5th and 6th, 2013 at the Race Track of Linas-Monthlery "3.405kms" .

Here is our official poster, once again performed by the talented Damien Charles [smilie=yay.gif]

We have considered your desire to keep this "weekend" 's format that allows our friends in France and in Europe to be present and to share two days together, so we again will make these 48 hours as an extraordinary event !! :approve:

It's still Montlhery some think... but this place gives us the opportunity to realize many projects and unusual challenge, not to mention the significant logistical and technical support by the team of the track.

Our wildest dream would be like the previous edition bring together the largest number of Clio v6, members, fans, performed to established a new record in 2012, this new edition we hope will blow up your mind. For the record, it was 65 Clio V6 in 2012.

In 2013 we will focus on owners of Clio v6 mk1 and mk2 and fans of Alpine and Renault Sport brand (applications which don't fall within these criteria must be validated by the organizing team).

Many activities and challenges will be offered during these two feast days; A saturday evening gathering enthusiasts for an auction of prestigious competition auto parts for an association of sick children, an unusual challenge and many other surprises will be there for your entertainment.

The program for these two days will be unveiled step by step in the following weeks and months.

We hope to relive great moments together, share our passion for the brand and take maximum pleasure during these 48 hours.

The V6 Passion staff are at your disposal for any question about the event.

Regards.

2012 COSTINGS, to give you all a rough idea as to what this great trip is likely to cost you all..

I shall amend and add current costs as soon as they are confirmed. So please, these are just guid-line prices based on last years event.

Just a quick summary of times and costs.. hopefully to temp a few more of those 'wavering' on whether or not to come along.. ;)

Distance and time from Calais, route depending -

Euro Tunnel is still £88 - £108 return, time depending. This will only go up in price!

Route A - 334km and 3hrs 22mins

Route B - 318km and 3hrs 31mins

Allow approx. £150 for fuel there and back at about 28mpg @ £1.40ltr (plus some for moving about whilst there)

Accommodation is 44€ per room, per night. So for 3 nights allow approx. £105 per room for the 3 nights.

Gala type evening on Saturday night is 27€, about £22

So, in short.. if you're traveling as a pair, it'll cost just under £400 for the two of you. Share the cost... £200 each, plus spending money for the long weekend. Not bad really!

Plus what ever option of the following below.. Probably the last on the list for most, 'STATIC'

ROLLING DYNAMIC 1 DAY (Saturday or Sunday according to availability)
MEMBER OF V6clio.net (1 vehicle + 1 meal) : 149 euros

ROLLING DYNAMIC 2 DAYS (Saturday and Sunday)
MEMBER OF V6clio.net (1 vehicle + 1 meal) : 249 euros

One day DYNAMIC and one day STATIC (Saturday and Sunday)
MEMBER OF V6clio.net (1 vehicle + 1 meal) : 179 euros

STATIC: (Saturday or Sunday or both) with a"dedicated location" on the parking
MEMBER OF V6clio.net (1véhicule + 1 meal + "final parade") : 30 euros

Extra meal : 23€ per person per day.

extra meal :23euro per person per day didnt think that mcdonalds was that expensive out there even what i can eat

not pouring scorn on it but that hotel was proper shit last year. dont quip back at me saying i always moan no drink at hotel nowhere to have a chat etc. surely cant just be me can it [smilie=icon_aaargh.gif] there must be a ibis near by

I think we all know that the food last year wasn't quite as good as the organisers had hoped for.. I know it was mentioned to me, and an apology was made. The 23€ for each additional person per day, was to cover all food available throughout the day.

The hotel could have been a bit better, but again... a lesson learnt. We can always sort out our own accommodation this year. I for one, am extremely grateful to all the v6Passion guys for making us feel so welcome, and going to the trouble of sorting out accommodation for us.

Are you coming along again this year Mark..?

I would say you have a bit of time yet Dulan. Once further details emerge there will be more importance to confirm your intentions. Dont worry, will soon be on your case if you're still wavering and we need an answer ;)

Thanks Shaun. Great, I will be on the look out for any updates......

Although I'm pushing to get my car running for this, I'm pretty sure I'll be in the 172 as it looked amazing fun last year. I know what Mark means about the hotel. It was far from amazing. For a breif stay, it was fine for me as the restaurant down the road was fine.
Would be nice maybe to have an on site bar that we won't be able to clear out after 4 shandies each.

Depends on what you mean. Thurs Fri and Sun yes. Sat with you guys :) Best of both worlds [cmilie=iconcheers.gif] I like to be independent sometimes. I remember on one of my eurotrips I deliberately got lost by more than 10km so I could break radio contact with them and so I could do my own thing for a day and ended up running into a R5 turbo in Switzerland and doing a little tunnel run alongside it. Ended up in Davos a couple of hours earlier than the rest of the Petrolhead Nirvana boys and having a play at the Casino in town :) Also it meant the vee got attention all to itself rather than being usurped by ferraris, porsches and lambos :) :) :) :)

That's fine Nas. I'll not include you, and Jon I imagine, within our group. Makes it alot easier to sort out accommodation etc. So will leave you guys to your own devices if that's ok. :approve:

No worries dude. We will catch you guys at the circuit on the saturday. If Jon turns up in a gimp mask and crotchless pants you'll know his unusual oxymoronic post wedding stag-do went according to plan!!
