Clio v6 cover Group Buy - now closed

Sorry I am one of the 13 "yes" people but had to buy one in the end as could not wait any longer becuase the v was getting dusty !! If iy helps I got it from Classic Additions and fits perfectly I would post a pic but I cant work out how too. I can e-mail to someone if they want to post it ??

On topic, plenty of choice there James. Personally, I'd like the deluxe indoor cover - with Renaultsport/ clio V6 logo if poss (in case I mix it up with the 250 SWB parked next to it...).

Did this Group Buy ever go anywhere? I'd like to get a cover because the Vee is my second car and garaged but I would prefer to support a forum buy if one is going to go ahead. Anyone picking this up? If not I'll make some calls and arrange it.

That was my questions Simon! I think there seems to be some interest but not sure of the protocol for picking up group buys and making them happen. I'm happy to ring round a few manufacturers if no one else is picking this up but I just wanted to find out, like you, if anyone is picking up organisation.

Right, I've exchanged some emails and made some calls to the usual suspects and a few of my own contacts and think I can give a reasonable summary of the current situation to see if we can move this forward (having exchanged PMs with James to make sure only one person is picking this up!)
I called round but it seems only two places can offer anything that is tailored and timely. There was one option from a supplier I know but they're looking at 8-10 weeks which is simply too long for this GB to go on for and I for one would like a cover much sooner than that. The two options are Covercraft and Classic Additions both of whom can offer a fully tailored cover (but no side vent "wings" in case you were holding out for them!). The covers are all the bespoke indoor covers rather than those suitable for outdoor use.
Covercraft are coming back on the GB discount but they didn't sound all that interested and were really after 10 off but importantly even if they gave the 10% discount for five covers they would all have to be the same colour. This is based on either Form-Fit (available in six colours) or Flannel (available in two colours - one of which is beige). The price inc. VAT and Shipping is £250 or £240 for the flannel. assuming 10% for 5 off that's a price of £225.
Classic-additions, who I dealt with through my company a couple of years ago as an OEM supplier, can offer their custom cover for £230 including VAT and delivery but will offer a discount for a minimum order of 5 with free choice of colour so each order would be seperately placed with C.A. and can be bespoke. They have 20 colours available. The price for each would be £205. As long as we have five order for the covers from V6Clio.net members we'll still get the discount. It's about £20 extra for a logo on the cover which I guess could be Renault, Renaultsport, Clio V6 or V6Clio.net if you felt so inclined. These covers would be my recommendation - they are what you see at Motorshows on luxury car stands.
If you are genuinely interested and we can get five provisional orders I'll deal with Classic-Additions if everyone is happy, give them names of who will be ordering and get people to send cheques directly to them with colour preferences. I'm aware that initial interest in GBs sometimes changes due to other pressures on £££s but as this has been going on a while and there seems sufficient interest to make it happen post you name below and we'll see if we can make it happen.
