clio mk 1 washers/rear wiper not working

recently on my mk1 rsi clio the washers front and rear and the rear wiper have stopped working, tried a new switch/stalk that had lying about and no joy! checked all fuses fine, checked the relay (seems ok front wipers work on all speeds) both washer pumps work with + and - straight to them, dunno what else to try?? heard sumwhere before about earthing problem?? know where to start?? any answers???????:?

If it was just the rear wiper, I'd say to check the wiring loom where it goes between the cabin and the tailgate.

If it was just the rear washer I'd say to check the pipe that runs down the length of the car.

If it was just the wipers I'd say stalk.

But what you've got... I dunno! You could always check the circuits for continuity I suppose, but it would take time.

have just found that the earth strap that goes from body to gearbox broke could that be anything to do with it??
