Well, well, well.....I think I may of found an intermediate solution to going for a 330mm big brake kit.

It seems that Godspeed do 312mm discs, in both, grooved and with J Hooks.

£125 for the pair of J Hook'ed ones at 312!!!! - a lot cheaper than OEM R26.R Grooved (Around 210 for the pair).

Its £485 for the 330mm kit, I can't see the extra justification in it, but then again, I don't want to buy cheap and have to buy twice.

Think I'll order the J Hook ones and see what they are like (y)

Nice touch having the bells painted also

Probably not I don't think, I got on so well with the grooved brembo's apart from the cracking at the end, I'm hoping the J Hook 312's at 25% of the price will work nicely.

I'm still not fully decided, but I'm leaning towards the 312mm ones.....

Speak to @Charlie-R before commiting. He can normally sniff out a few things , or know about something

Oh hello! Where were these bad boys a week ago!

The kit comes with it all I believe - 9mm spacers, and the longer wheel bolts included - they run off the OEM calipers.

Replacement rotors for them come in at around £285 - its also tempting..... lol

For gods sake I'm gonna have to stop looking at your links, it's a nightmare lol

Ok, so one set of unused HC discs to sell.... £70?, second set only done 100 miles.... £50..... bust the savings for the 330mm..... I mean what else do you buy for a Megane that already seems to have pretty much everything done?

Dave spacers and longer bolts for the caliper come in the kit for the bigger disks. Can't see the point personally as what these cars are missing big time is any form of cooling ducting. The GT# Porsches for example have big scoops attached to the bottom arm which directs air into a cowling behind the disk, could do with someone adapting similar for the Meganes.

This is something I'll be working on in the next week or so

Brilliant Ricardo, will be interesting to see what you come up with. Been tempted to just buy a set of Porsche deflectors and cowls to see if I can adapt them to the Meg, the 968 ones for example used to be really cheap I think the whole set cost me something like 40 quid a few years back but on the Porsches they have bosses on the strut and the bottom arm for it all to bolt onto. Works really well but race car style duct pipe from the front bumper works better just is much more a faff on a road car.

£40 doesn't seem too bad, I wonder if they can be modified to work on the Megane. I know the ones you mean as I actually posted at photo of them on a different thread. I'm happy to look into doing them, making a plate type thing with say a 50mm outlet to accommodate a 50mm flexi, run it along the inner plastic arch then through to the foglight or maybe a naca duct under the bumper on the plastic undertray. _20160514_140944.webp _20160514_141028.webp

This is the sort of thing I was thinking about:
997 GT3 front brake duct - Rennlist Discussion Forums

On the older cars like the 968 I had they come in two parts and look like the picture about half way down this page:
951 vs 968 brake cooling deflector - Page 3 - Rennlist Discussion Forums

I used to have those on my 944 S2 as well, pretty effective but pipework from the front bumper and a cowling like in the picture you posted is probably more effective. I have a set up like that (hose + cowling thing) on my 944 S2 race car and never once suffered brake fade despite it weighing 1150 Kg and having much smaller disks, pads and calipers than the Megane on the front.
