Clio Clio 1.5 dci rough idle

Anybody have experience with the 1.5 dci lumps?? (Well i know a few of you will have :D)

Just bought a clio dci 65 for a bargain price today. The issue i have is rough idle - but no warning lights on dash, pulls well with plenty of power - not bellowing out smoke and starts ok from cold. Not had it hooked up to clip yet to see if any faults - any common issues i should be checking or should i get stuck in and do a leakoff test?

Got my clip up and running today20160312_222906.webpGlobal scan revealed two faults map sensor and brake pedal switch

Cleared both of them and took it for a run out. Only get the glowplug light on at just over 3k in 4th and 5th maximum load full throttle, lift off and light goes straight off. Done a global scan again and map sensor fault back again coherence. Possibly diff wiring or sensor ?

The reading of 1030mbar is at 0 rpm initially which is barometric pressure without engine running (ign on when scanning). The fault is logged on the lower section of the pic 3200ish rpm full boost.

It all looks stock at the turbo so possibly actuator wound up a bit. From reading the intercooled version of these engines can map pretty well. Hope its not rocking a generic map

As you seem to identify a possible boost issue, I have come across a couple of problems recently where the control vains on a VNT turbo have been sticking due to carbon build up and gave a hiccup during acceleration and another on a 65hp were the actuator was partly seized giving an over boost.
It is easy to identify which type of turbo you have by the position of the actuator, vertical is VNT & horizontal is bypass gate and generally has a direct pipe from manifold/turbo to actuator.

If you click on the 5.DEF you will get a basic description of the fault ie: Boost to high, to low etc, you will also get a link to a assisted fault finding document icon along the lower task bar if the copy version has it working
