i got a chip from tracklogic for the ecu but when i put it in the car idles at 3000 rpm , runs ok just idles very high,as soon as you start the engine the throttle control valve opens wide .
so matt at tracklogic had never come across this problem before , so he made me another eprom and when i plugged that in i had the same problem.
any ideas?
the ecu was already chipped when i brought the car, i just plugged the new eprom into the socket.
ive put the old chip back and it runs fine,
anyone know what could cause this?

hi fella ive got one of his chips but havent tried it yet but its all down to the chip m8. ecu controls idle so theres where the prob lies. will try mine tommorrow and let you know what mines does

when he started out on this thing he had no ecu's or anything to use to gather the data, I said I would assist him in these areas and also helped him to understand the programming of ecu's.

I had loads of ecu's so took them to him in order for him to help develop the tracklogic.

I then was testing the tracklogic helping iron out glitches then he went quiet took the piss basically and none of the stuff works basically.

ahem i think it does work tbh, seen it live for myself so it does what it says on the tin

tracklogic data reader, the chip is where the problem is, its bein sorted now so tucky your new chip will be in the post this week fella. and it will work fine

Jay heres some advice, shut up over things that don't concern you.

You might be Matts new best pal but I was in this long before you were.
