Chat about the French Car Show

Was another good FCS marred only by some VERY boring parade laps!

Great weather too! 8)

Good to catch up with some many club members again.

Lots of pics to post up tonight.

Cheers
Peter :)

i had a fantastic day, gained a fair few ideas of where to go next with my V! as i was probably the most standard there!

hope everyone got home safe and sound. hopefully get to talk to a few more people next meet.

jack

I thought mine was totally standard til Emma pointed out I got grandad style floor mats which arent standard! Not a happy bunny me

Just got home and eager to say what a great day it was. Meeting all all of you, forgetting half your names as usual, and I bet not managing to chat very long with many of you. The time seems to fly passed and before you know it the tent is down. It's a breeze getting it down. ;)

The Vees all looked superb! Top effort to every one of you.

Thanking time....

Firstly to all those who attended. You make the club stand a big success.
Shaun for doing a brilliant job arranging our biggest and best stand ever.
Steve for giving up his Sunday lie in to bring the heavy stuff in his van.
Big Dave who did all the manual lifting that I can't manage.

Mark Dow insisted we should have 50 Vees there next year. ;)

Just want to say thanx for a superb day at a Sunny FCS.
Great job done by all who organized the day resulting in easily the best stand on show by far.
Stunning array of Vee's gathered on stand and probably room for 50 if given the same space next year !
Look forward to meeting again at Kimbolton.

My pics from FCS! Great event thanks to all involved in organising top job guys!

Great meeting everyone again and the ones I havent met before you know who you are :) James, Woody ...... (no I havent forgotten your names lol!) Especially one particular little lady ;) I will call her my V6 cleaning conscience! Half eleven saturday night searching out a 24 hours tesco and found one on my doorstep! Supposed to close at 10 but was open til 12 woohoo!!
Bucket water cloths sponge sorted!!
Up at half five cleaning my vee but then the heavens opened noooo!!!!!
Hit a bird on the way in thought I had wrecked the vee but thankfully only a few feathers lodged around the fog light!
Funnily enough cos of the bird I got the idea to take a pics of the other cars reflecting in my bumper!
Of the ones I didnt meet sorry the time seemed to fly by. Janelle great meeting you and I wish I had found time to talk to you more. Will do so next time :) Thank you peter and hanna(h) for coming over to say goodbye it was really nice of you much appreciated :)

TIESTO BLARING OUT THE SPEAKERS ALL THE WAY FELLA! It was great to spend the day with you and thanks with the pics. Glad you came up to me fella you are a top bloke.

Hi all.

Got back this afternoon, after a night stop over in Melton Mowbray. Jackie and I would like to say that we had a thoroughly enjoyable Sat night and Sunday. Met lots of great people and apologise for not getting to speak to you all. Big thumbs up to all who made it all possible, oh and Shaun for a top stand-plan!

See you all very soon.

PS, anyone know who won the Top 25?

Darren with his absolutely immaculate Williams 1 won, came second last year at WSR Silverstone. He therefore spent the winter removing the engine and replacing and/or painting everything back to oem standard, the chap/car is a legend

PS, Hard luck Emma.

Sorry didnt mean it as an insult to Darren in anyway just sad face cos a fellow vee didnt win. And Hugo seems to have his own personality and I have got attached to him cos he looks like mine but isnt! Lol!!

Do you need a bigger shovel Nas?

An additional thank you (no surprise as my head's like a sieve)

To all those who brought snacks, lovely fruit, and the jelly babies that had my name on the bag ;)

These kind thoughts and efforts are just another one of those wee things which make our club good thing to be a part of.

:approve: :approve:

No mines is big enough as it is ;)

It was indeed a tidy Williams however I have to say the finish on some of the paintwork wasn't as mint as Hugos ;-) yes I am biased but also OCD so did spot a few things on it lol. But yes I lost to a fair competitor :)
