Cambelt Replacement (anything else?)

My v6 is going in for its cambelt change shortly. I’ll also be replacing:

• Water pump
• Alternator belt kit
• Clutch and slave cylinder
• Full service (All fluids, filters and plugs)
• Thermostat and seal

As well as upgrading to a:

• Quaife ATB differential
• TTV flywheel

Is there anything else I should be looking at replacing? Possibly the dephaser pulleys and bottom crank pulley? Any info. appreciated. [smilie=thanks.gif]

Yeah I'd read in another thread. Do the dephaser pulleys generally need replacing after a certain amount of time?

I have the crankshaft pulley and bolt for the pulley changed as well, apparently the bolt for the pulley "bends" over time.

96 17 872 780, bolt for crankshaft pulley

Thanks Shinji :approve:

I've spoken with Renault who quoted me £156.67+Vat for the depahser pulleys. His system was showing stock of over 20 in the UK.

Really??

2 required and are you sure they are Clio v6 versions?

Grateful if you could let me know who to contact..

Called them this morning and im afraid to say the situation is the same and the chap had qouted you for 182 pulleys..

Maybe if a few more of us ordered these, the list of frustrated customers will get longer and Renault will poke who ever needs to be poked to get these things on the shelves here.

Have you tried European dealers?

Maybe the French are a bit more on the ball.

Can we get a part number for the dephasers? Might be worth seeing if they're the same as other V6 engines from Pug/Renault?
