It's a lot of bang for your buck, the 6.3 litre engine is amazing, bucket loads of talk and a great sound.
The gearbox is a little slow compared to double cluch boxes but it's still very capable.
Big natraully aspirated engines are dead so grab them whilst you can but dam it's thirsty ! Driven like a old lady I can only get 18 mpg but then again it was never going to be economical!
Do your research there are a lot of bad ones out there which can cost a fortune to put right
Everyone's different in their expectations of a car. In the last month I've been in a seriously modified RS6+, a gallardo, an aerial atom and my daily driver is a Porsche Cayenne GTS. Impressive and satisfying as they all were, none of them were for me as enjoyable as the Clio ( the atom comes close but so impractical). If I was being honest as much as I adore my Maserati it is not as enjoyable as Clio. Last night the Clio was parked up next to Ferrari F12 and got more attention.
The trouble is it can take a while to bond or otherwise with a car however impressive they first appear.
How many people I wonder, regret selling their Clio.
Ps you can turn passenger air bag off and fit car seat!
It's an epic engine, as others have said, the likes of which will never be seen again so good chance to at least own one for a while. Owners of the new 4.0 turbo who have come from a 6.2 say the new car is softer and more refined and they miss the rawer edge that the 6.2 had.
The latest September EVO just out compares new with lightly used for the same money and has the C63 estate against a Golf R. Everyone seems to rave about the all round abilities of the Golf R and both get 5 stars but the verdict is if your heart is running the finances then don't miss the chance to run the C63 as it's still epic.

Funnily enough i also have a golf r estate so that article was like a sign. Original plan was to sell clio and golf, get c63 and build a double garage with the leftover money. Plan now is to chop golf against c63 and keep clio
Golf is very effective like but just a tad boring.
Excellent decision. If you have to wait a year or 2 to get some money for the garage it wont go up in price much. Who knows what a Clio V6 will cost in the future and it would be a shame to get a big bruise on your leg from kicking yourself
I have a very strong urge for a CLK63 Black series. I love niche cars with big arches and monster engines Typically they only sold about 30 here and they have stayed at stupid money. It even has exactly the same wheels as a Vee which I took as a sign....
A neighbour had a Golf R32 V6 and I would often look out the window as it burbled past. He has now replaced it with an R estate. Never hear him now. How dull.....
