Brought myself a cheap clio...

Having been messed about by so many sellers recently I got fed up and brought a cheap 172 off ebay, it's a cat D, in need of a front bumper only... A few pics sent to me of the inner arches and cross member, a delivered price agreed.

Resulting in a car being delivered tomorrow, a 04 reg, 84k, unknown history, drives well apparently with no crunching of gearbox..

Got a phone call this evening from the breakers, they have a black bumper with fogs etc... That they have put on the car FOC.

So full service needed, belts, most likely coilovers and uprated brakes, buckets, steering wheel and a cage..

Unless it turns out to be a cheap turd, then I will just break it/scrap it.

Haha, it will not be a keeper, unless it's OK... Even then it will only become a track car with my brother in law playing with it to... He has more money to invest in than what I do haha.

He wants to get into track days, but he really wants a Cooper S... Maybe the clio will persuade him to stick with a Renault.

Brembo HC discs
DS2500 pads
Super Gold brake fluid
Spax or FK (basically Koni) coilovers
Cobra Monaco buckets
Half decent tyres

Basic service at least plus like you say a cambelt

Go enjoy.
