Brembo brake upgrade

Sorry if this has been covered already, but does the clio mk3 197 brembo brakes fit onto the phase 2 v6? If not, places, suggestions to get brake upgrade from. Thanks.

Matt.

First question would be why? The AP fronts are decent. Fire a set of hoses, high temp fluid and performance pads and your well on the way. :approve:

Not sure Re the BREMBO's, I believe Bill P has a BREMBO set up of some sort.

I would tend to agree with Ali your aps are 4 piston as are the brembos so the diffracted is force and serface area will be marginal. If breaking is an issue I would go down Ali's route.

If you went for more pistons I don't think you would get 6 under the wheels.

There are though many people with more knowledge than me who I am sure will reply

Have you ever experienced fade with the originals? VAG 6 pot 17 and 18z Brembo's fit with a 340mm disc which my brother will be fitting to the front of the nocturn car. Adding more pistons doesn't necessarily mean less room. It essentially means you can move the pistons center line further out on the same size disc thus increasing braking force.

I've a set of the 197 brembos and have often wondered the same thing without ever bothering to check
Theyd certainly look a lot tidier than a set of non-refurb'd APs

I was fine around Goodwood (quite hard on brakes due to the speed) - Also fine around the ring, but that's weirdly not that hard on brakes.

If it's more for track than mixed driving then, possibly will need to upgrade to "Something"...
