brake light swtich.

Anyone ever changed a brake light switch? both my Clios suffered brake light switch failures on the same day! despite in all my Clio ownership years having never had one go before. Race car one is easy as it only has the 2 pins but the Vee one has 4 pins (and 4 wires in the plug) Renault part number is 7700414986 but stick that number in google/Ebay and all the spares companies cross ref it to a 2 pin switch. We had to fit the 2 pin switch to get the car home with working brake lights but now wondering about the other 2 pins/wires and if the genuine Renault switch will come with 4 pins or 2.
Just also noticed that the race clio part number is also the same and this is a 2 pin switch........

I'm not sure about how Renault determine old and superseded parts.

The details show what I can only guess is the older 82 part number?

thanks. Picked up the genuine article and yes it has the 4 pins, another to beware of if buying non gen parts.
