Thats been about 3 weeks. it only goes lower because of a slow puncture on the drivers front wheel haha

finally had another go at the thermostat yesterday as my gauge sits below normal. and my rev limit was at about 5. so thinkibg it was on a cold map still.

looks pretty bad. had a bit of plastic in it that im not sure was supposed to be there.
(by the way removing the throttle body makes things a hell of alot easier)
all changed and warmed up. back to normal operating temp and a rev limit of 6.5 7. bot that i use that but nice to know its working properly now.
does anyone know if i can blank off and remove the recirc stuff and vent the rocker cover to atmosphere without throwing up codes? the connector on the throttle body is leaking and i dont like it.

Had to do a bit of work on this car this weekend. Went for an early MOT and it failed on ABS/ESP light showing. Exhaust leak causing bad emissions. Headlight bulb not fitted correctly. Both springs not seated correctly.
ABS/EPS sorted with a few restarts. Bulb refitted correctly, exhaust sealed up.

The springs im having trouble with. They are indeed out of their bearings, both sides.
I have cooksport springs and new bearings that I put in about 3 months ago. I relocated them at a great pain to my hands and fingers, only to have them fall out again half a mile down the road! Am I missing something? They dont seem to like sitting in the bearings.

Had the same issue with cooksports not sitting correctly on @Mart s 225. Its a strange one as i have had no issues on the mrs meg however hers is on original top mounts

Thats not good. I thought they were good fitment. The bearings i took out didnt look that old or defective. or any different to the ones i put in. So they were aftermarket aswell. I wonder if i still have them, I doubt it though.

I dont understand this car. I have just jacked it up on my lunch to have a look. They are both where I put them, so what the hell is clonking now. Mot didnt pick up anything else down there. Am I getting worried about a bit of flappy plastic or something, I can only see 1 securing pop thing missing. Doesnt sound plastic though.
I guess ill re mot it and see if they find something this time.

Slight possibility this car may be for sale soon. Ive been offered another on Sweden's finest for nothing and my space is running out. Would anyone be interested? Will only be looking to get my money back on it. Owes me about £1750
