AFTER A BIT OF ADVICE PLEASE........... IF ANYONE CAN ADD A THOUGHT IT WOULD BE WELCOME. IM TAKING THE CAR FOR ITS "CHEAP... WHAT..." 5 YEAR SERVICE (BELTS) NEXT WEEK . ITS GOING TO A RENAULT DEALER TO KEEP BOOK RIGHT. AM I BEST TO LET THEM DO JUST WHATS INVOLVED IN THE 5 YEAR SERVICE (THEY SAY THEY WILL ADVISE ON THE WATER PUMP) OR IS THERE OWT ELSE I SHOULD ASK FOR WHILST ITS IN . CAR IS JUST SHORT OF 18,000 MILES............CHEERS, MARTIN

Get the pump done IMO and make sure they get the correct gear box oil.

A specialist like SG or Motech would be a great idea to be honest pal...the stamp is important yes, but anyone whos interested in vees knows the specialists stamps are often better than the dealers. I would definately get the waterpump done, false economy not to pal...also the clutch whilst the engine is out its only £150 approx for the kit but with only 18k on it you will probably be ok not doing it.

Which dealer you got it booked in at?

I paid £1350 for the full lot including pump and a new clutch from moTech...its the only place ill take mine too now

Hi Martin,

Make sure you get the water pump done and also the full aux belt kit (inc pulleys) mate not just belt on its own.
Fluids and filters
and as others say depending on milage clutch and slave cylinder.

Mine came to £1300 all in for all the above, service and MOT.

cheers, sam ,wayne , matt..............i think renault stamps are worth more when /if selling on ( but not thinking of doing that ...(yet) ) but also my sister in law has got me staff discount at sheffield ( big saving mate).................water pump a must then ?.......................

yep for what its worth (£40 ish) if it goes within next five yrs means full belt change again so better getting it done now at this one. Mine looked like new when I got it back!
Oh, make sure you aks for old parts back from them.
