Other ( non Renault ) Audi Umluft

Its a particularly quiet Thursday afternoon here at work , so I started to look into early anti lag system.
One that jumped out was the Audi umluft. It was used in 85 on the s1e2 cars , and was partially successful allowing zero to 1.5 bar almost instantaneously.

Quite intriguing. Wonder if it could be used say on a 21 turbo ?

Yes, but with antilag being readily available in modern ECU's i'm not sure as you'd want to lol

Not sure how your gearbox and clutch would cope either!

That's a lot of torque coming on tap in one go.

Never played with anti lag but played with crude over boost (some sort of pressure vessel between WG actuator and signal line) and MBCs etc, and went through a good few gearboxes back in my 80s Saab days

Saab boxes are weak though arent they ? I am not saying that a UN1 / ND0020 is any better though

True! Particularly the c900 which had a chain driven primary drive. Folk were converting to earlier chillcast 4 speed boxes because they were meatier!
