Audi B5 S4

Oh and some H&R coilovers have just paid for to replace the coilovers that are on there already, i think they are ap ones but unsure. All i know is they are a little soft for my liking, will probably compliment it with some thicker anti roll bars at some point. At this rate it might just make a small track appearance at blyton

indeed, still not done anything to it tbh, the thing is killing my wallet with fuel bills on the commute. silly idea to buy it back and use it for 300+ miles a week lol. Best to a tank so far was 27mpg, average is actually 22mpg......... ive done 1300+ miles since having her back

So after doing a few laps at blyton over the weekend its easy to see that the rs4 brakes i have are not up to the job. Before the track day i gave it some fresh fluid and a clean up. The pedal feel was great but didnt last long. Time to clean up the brembo 6 pots and give them a quick spray. I should get them fitted soon unless I find a megane for sale...... they aren't perfect but look loads better. They are quite large though and have 4 more pistons than I already have and the calliper is a lot bigger so should soak up more heat. 20160703_194603.webp 20160703_194738.webp

Hopefully i don't end up with these ones nearly on fire. Will need to look at the rears too to help balance it all out.On later cars you can recode the abs unit to take into account different front and rear brake setups, i dont think its possible on mine so ill just have to upgrade all round. I think there are some 300mm vented rears that can go on off the later heavier cars.

Nearly done. Just need to sort some longer wheel bolts. A quick trip to forge was needed for spacers. The spokes on my wheels don't clear the caliper so have to space them out. This is going to cause me issues I'm sure.....20160704_100726.webp 20160704_101248.webp 20160704_141923.webp 20160704_165729.webp

To get these fitted I have shaved the upright to gain a little clearance, drilled the hub mounting points out to 16mm so It matches the Porsche fittings and opened out the center bore on the Mercedes brake disks. I have bled everything through and it seems OK at the moment. I've used the oem pads for now as I'm sure they will be fine until I upgrade the rears and swap in some decent pads

Not hanging about do you? :D
Car sounded absolutely nuts mate!

Almost the best sounding caron track if it wasn't for Brigsy's van sounding like a jet engine!

Cheers buddy. Nope when I get some free time I crack on. Job now finished and just need bedding in. 11mm hubcentric forgemotorsport spacers fitted and longer bolts from a company called badger 5. Can't comment on how good they work yet but all on and so far no arch clearance issues. Excuse the wheels they need a proper refurb

Sounds like you need a cheap 172 in your life ...

The rear wheels look too far in now so i have got a second set of 11mm spacers here and some bolts on the way. Not for the stance look or anything just to make the car look even if that makes sense? Brakes are feeling better too though i think it needs bleeding again as the first inch of travel doesnt seem to do much.

rear spacers now fitted and they fill out the arches nicely. Love the car but really tempted to sell up for a meg after driving @Ricardo stripped out 225 at blyton. hmmmm
Are you and shoppers in some sort of competition to see who can get through cars the quickest ?
