atmo thermostat

the old car wasnt getting very warm with no thermostat so I have put one in, I ran down the road and back and the temp went up to 130 then the stat opened and it dropped off, then went back up agin...wrong stat??Its the one the factors sold me.

I replaced mine recently and the old one had 86C stamped on it. The new one is the same and cuts in when the temp guage is about half way between centre and overheat.

You can always buy a Renault 4 as they run on lower opening temp. I think is 75c

In my little blue book it lists 3 options - 83, 86 and 89 degrees. £5.51, on the shelf :wink:
