Ashley Performance

Hey has anyone got an ashley exhaust if you or no, what are your thoughts and oppinions on them? Cheers John

My good mate has one on his escort and it has been nothing but trouble.

Its needed re-welding at least 4 times since he put it on. I think at one point it actually split in a fairly major way. Its currently off the road because the exhaust is broken.

Thing is he cant send it back as they never charged him for it. It sounds daft but its one of the worst free things he's ever had.

Having said that, when it was on the car it did sound really good and along with his manifold and de-cat it used to pop out massive great flames!

If you can get oen dirt cheap then go for it, but judging by my mats, the quality is absolutely shocking.

also there steel i think not stainless so won,t last have a long as a stainless one.

Yes mike is right ive got one on my valver. It fits really well and sounds the nuts.Is abit on the loud side for some people tho mainly my wife.lol. But im more then happy with it for the money.

Out of interest, what exhaust do people recommend?

Really depends on your personal taste and budget I guess...

Mine has a Mongoose on it which is a good looking system (Even if it pokes out a bit!) But does sound excellent both when your sitting in the car and when you hear it from outside. Doesnt just sound like a bean can sapping all the power! Only issue I dont like is the rattling on tickover I belive this is from where it loops over the torsion bar!? But it will be going on the 4 poster lift and being treated to some heatwrap or some major re-alignment work this year :D

Havent really tried anything else but Magnex's are usually highly rated for fit, cost and noise 8)

mine also has a mongoose on it and its pretty much perfect has a slight typical mongoose rattle but its only mild.

i have allways used magnex, sounds sweet and not to loud and look good too.
