AP Racing Caliper Parts Problems

Just a bit of info from my experiences ordering parts for the front AP Racing calipers on our cars. If you are ordering from any supplier currently (winter/spring 2012) be warned that AP Racing have recently been bought out by Brembo, who have installed a new computer system and its really screwed up their production schedules. Consequently, this tied up with the start of the race season means that individuals like us are put to the back of the queue! Ive had the front caliper seal kits on back order for about 6 weeks now.

Also companies Ive been dealing with... Coordsport in the midlands have been useless. The guy I have dealt with there has promised to phone me back 4 times and never has, I needed to place a further order for the fluid transfer pipes and Ive given up with them and on the advice of pturner3 off this forum, Ive gone to Ben at Interspares: [email protected]. They are cheaper and more efficient. I wish Id known about them in the first place.

Cheers
Dan

Agreed Dan,

I've struggled big time with getting Caliper kits. Eventually I gave up...Mine are 'ok' but not brilliant!

BG Developments that were ok last time i used them wasted my time, we paid them and they never even ordered the kit, then they couldn't commit to when they'd get stock.

Ah yes Ali, I forgot to mention BG developments... as they were mentioned by Steve Farman in one of his posts. I emailed them, no response, so I phoned them, the woman who answered the phone said she had received my email 3 days ago, but hadnt had time to respond! So I politely asked her if she would get back to me with prices and availability.... I never heard back from her again.

How do people manage to run these businesses?!?

i rang BG Developments and coordsport but they did not even reply. then i tried raceparts.co.uk and spoke to nick and ordered a pair of seal kits and two transfer pipes for about £97.00 delivered within 4 days very good service

easy - BG developments have a HUGE contract with Mclaren thats how!

In which case, whats the point of advertising as a suppleir to the general public if you cant be bothered with them?

This!
