Hi guys. That's me (Paul) I use my Vee every single day, my car is lovely to drive since all issues have been sorted:
£1000 on Colin's brand new wheels, 18" Renault
New wheel bolts and locking wheel nuts,
£700 on tyres,
£1000 on complete new track rods, and track ends across rear,
Laser tracked twice,
Serviced,
4 coils,
New wing indicators glasses,
New washers jets,
And other bits and pieces (all genuine Renault parts)
Still only 26,700 miles and climbing.
The only thing she needs but I won't do, (at present) is a complete respray etc, to make mint, however if I did this, I wouldn't drive her everyday and to me these cars are design to drive, not park up (only my view).
I was a lucky Vee purchaser in that my Vee is as we all know is a "cat D" and when fully inspected (laser alignment etc) all old damage was concentrated around the OSR quarter, and mainly rear arch fibreglass, wheel, bodywork etc, but fully repaired some years ago. Luckily no steelwork or chassis work.
My work circumstances are changing at present a lot, so my Vee maybe up for sale shortly (so sad), would make someone a lovely daily runner and maybe weekend track car, as I will sell car with the spare set of those horrible Khan wheels & tyres, and full race harness (again horrible) and was the first thing to be removed when I purchased my Vee,
My Vee is now mainly de-w**nkerised and work on her is ongoing.
I will attach some pic's so far, in new post.
To those who question why I would spend that kind of money on a Cat D ? Simple I fell in love with her, and she needing sorting out, so I suppose I felt a little sorry for her as well, and luckily I could.
