Another great service by SG Motorsport

This year my Vee had.

Annual service.
MOT.
Brake fluid change.
New front anti roll-bar link.
Unusually a rear wheel bearing was needed.
An ABS sensor (wire was chaffed somehow)
New Michelin PS3 tyres
New silver seatbelts.
Car filled right up with petrol for the return trip home

We seldom mention prices on here, but I'm thinking the total cost this year to run such an extraordinary car isn't too bad at all?

All that lot above was only £1800.00
I'm not the youngest of members on here so insurance is £211.00
Tax was about £285.00 I think.

Scott's is a huge journey for me personally, but it's so worth it. Scott does exactly what I expect a great garage to do. :approve:

£1800!

I think I better start offering my services. I'm so glad I work for renault these routine maintenance & repair bills are crippling.

Only? My bank account is still shaking from my last visit to Scott and it was less than that...

Well worth it though if you want your car in the best hands!

Ooh, I would hate to tot up how much it cost me this year, but, letting Scott loose on my motors is worth the expense. :approve:

Given the Vee's future, and quite apart from the benefit it bring to a car's health, having up a proper service and maintenance record is essential.

I'd be interested to know the breakdown there James. What was included in an annual service?

Just a shame we don't have an expert up here like Scott.

All the little things soon add up.. plus the Vodka And Tonic on top... Can quite understand how it came to that. But lets not pick the bones out it. Thats between Scott and James.

I'll stick my neck out and say there's no one out there with broader, in depth Clio v6 knowledge than Scott. His service is spot on... and its why he's always so busy and why my car will be going back there when the time comes for his expert attention, again and again. :salut:

And that is the resounding endorsement that most garages would sell their souls for  and that is why Scott has such a following, it certainly helps to sell a car with SGM maintenance history, money these days apparently well spent :approve: :approve:

I guess I said "only" because I recall invoices many times that from a certain crap garage. Had it been £4,000 I might still have said only.

A respected service history is great, but I don't expect to be selling the Vee this year.

100% in agreement with this comment, reading the post it seems that Scott is expensive, this is so wrong, In my opinion Scott is the cheapest and best way to go as the experience this guy has with these cars means he can spot things before they happen and cost you thousands, i have met him many times and have 100% faith in this guy.

Agreed with above. When my car wouldn't start Scott had the knowledge and parts to hand to get it running quickly. I was 100% happy with the service and price. My car will be travelling to Wiltshire again in the future for any work.

I'll take it to Mark Fish when I really want expensive ;)

PS3s becuse I've had the Falkens on for at least 5k miles so thought it was about time to change them. I don't like ageing rubber. Plus according to this forum, the PS3s are Renaults replacement OEM tyres. Oh and Scott was doing all that laser geometry thing and twiddling with the Leda's knobs.

Looked at the invoice again and noticed the wheel bearing was obviously a time consuming job. Bearing itself was £150
