After-market Disks

Anyone got after-market disks on their Vee? My front drivers side is warped and chiming so need to replace. Not seen any after-market ones for them and the Renault jobbys seem very expensive around the £300 mark. I heard they had AP Racing brakes as standard- is that true? Mine is a Mk1.

Cheers

Darren

Speak to Scotty who has discs in stock and may be able to provide you with a better price.

There are alternatives available but none cheap AFAIK.

darren,

the standard discs etc are ap on the v6s....
try to get your hands on some radial mounted ones eg ap with grooved discs as they are a hell of a lot better than the standard.
speak to Scott at sgm 01666511191 he can supply either standard or uprated and give you the full run down...
if you are really loaded get some alcon!!!!!

Darren, I think Tim and I have the same front setup supplied by Scott.

Consisting of:
AP Racing 330mm 8 groove disc and bespoke alloy bell setup, with radial mount AP 4 pot calipers. Combined with braided hoses and Pagid blue pads the cold braking is much better than standard and when warm the brakes are superb! Unfortunately you need the new calipers to clear the disc and bell setup. Recommended.
