Yes, that is the issue, and without the benefit of a test drive it may be something to weigh up. Another option would be to take a specialist with you, get it jacked up and have it inspected. Of course, this is not the same as having it on a ramp, but under the circumstances may be the best option.hello new york":31vrgcl0 said:he will not move on £19500 .by the time the cam belt bumper and wheel was done and any other bits it would stand me at over £21000 . i am starting to think i should be getting a sub 10k miles for that sort of money .

You know what I would do?
PM the AY owners on here asking they're own vehicle's mileage/condition/valuation. You'll either find a better deal or will find this one is a keener deal than first imagined.

Looks to me that the car clearly has plenty of interest just on here alone. Sooner or later someone will pop up with the extra 500 quid or so I'm sure.

Someone bought a Titanium last year with about 4k mileage for less than £15k. That was an utter bargain, especially compared to this one.
I know the colour is rare(er) though, heaven knows what an Inferno or Moonlight might command if we're really placing so much emphasis on colour!

^ That is a very good idea. Not thought of that.
It is a lot of money for a vee with 23k miles, and one that you cannot test drive. The cambelt wouldnt bother me at all, as it only becomes a problem if it snaps. So as long as that is done straight away then job done, however i do understand you would like to get the price down a tad. 20k all in (to include purchasing the car and getting the cambelt/full service carried out) would be my aim if i were in your shoes.
All of the colours on the vee look great in their own right. Yes, the ID paints are rare and they do command a premium, however if a Mars, Titanium or BG became available at 4-5k less with the same mileage, i would definitely snap on of those up! No question.

I agree, unless you are willing to make certain sacrifices for one colour then who cares! How many vees do you even see? When you do who cares what colour it is! They are such a presence! IMO though like I said the more specific you are then the more you need to sacrifice potentially, this out of only 6 ACID YELLOWis an opportunity you need to weigh up I think. Why are you actually buying? If its to experience owning a vee then don't worry about colour, 10% of the uk are colourblind anyway......
