ABS problem

hi all. i couldnt find a good post about ABS so i thought i better make one for my own good lol. i have a r19 cabby with abs but the ABS seems to do nothing wot so ever, well it does do nothing wot so ever. anyone got any good places for me to start looking for a fault???

do the lights come on with ignition then go out when the cars running?

Does it actually have ABS?

Why do you think its not operational?

I know maybe insulting questions but makes things easier.

There are two versions of ABS, if you do indeed have it. A top-down photo of the engine bay would tell us a lot.

The older (Bendix) version is untrustworwthy when it fails, the newer (Bosch) one however is failsafe.

technically both are failsafe.

It just so happens the bendix failsafe fails

I imagine on a 94 it will be Bosch

there is no rest of the story, the failsafe fails thats all.

If you mean why does it fail loads of reasons!

it has abs. it says on the top ABS on a plastic looking cover. only saying about it not working and today it did something. it worked twice but dosent seem as responsive as normal ABS

that'll be bosch abs.

its not as sensitive as modern systems as they are for idiots in general.
