AA through confused.com

Just paid 262 for my insurance renewal. :approve:
I guess there are some benefits to living out in the sticks. The roads are empty too...

Incidently, could have paid 261 with kwik-fit, but the AA includes euro cover.

Blimey Kett.. thats a great price!! Mines up for renewal at the moment, just tried Confussed.com and its a fair bit more than yours.. and its a fairly decent post code too.. GU52.. £453.16 with £600.00 xs! Insurance cover would cost me an extra £22.55. That too is with the AA and is also the best premium quoted on their site.
Going to have to look into it all further to see what works out the most competitive with insurance, Euro-cover and excess, should it ever require payment. [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

It was a £600 excess (though kwik fit was £750).
Chances are, if you smash your Vee: it will be written off. In essence the excess will come off the payout.
Its quite unlike other cars, where replacement panels are much cheaper and insurance repairs are more probable.

I've just renewed mine with Hagerty, here is the deal:

Has to be a third car.

Insured as a future classic (so no NCB can be acrude with the policy but they will hold it against the policy incase you need it in the future)

Social & Domestic only.

Fully Comp with protection.

£250 excess if your fault, £100 otherwise (third party damage)

£60 windscreen.

Myself & the Mrs.

2000 miles per annum.

60 days euro cover.

Car must be garage overnight at home address.

Agreed value of 20k.

£374-42p.

I'm happy :approve: - could of had a premium as low as £303 (can't remember who that was with now) but the excess was £750  and that policy didn't have an agreed value either!

Regards, Steve.

P,S, Smoothie Shaun - you might want to try them for your Vee, as a second car, now that you have a 1*2 ??

Steve.

LOL.. "smoothy Shaun".. I have a van too, so might be able to get a similar 3 vehicle deal to you bud.. Its company owned though.. so not sure. I'm liking the agreed settlement figure arrangement I must say!

Will let you know how i get on!

I'm liking your Haggerty deal Steve! :approve:
Not sure how the 2000 mile and 60 day euro cover tie-in though... maybe a meet with the Calais owners club?

The AA seem quite reasonable and always come out on top for me.

Mines due on 17th April and best quote was £424 but when i tried them in Feb to get an idea they quoted £402.

I'm holding out for a sub £400 quote and then i will be happy.

Renewal came through today asking for £446.23.
I'll have to shop around again. [smilie=icon_aaargh.gif]
Looks like I'm going to facing a "more than" inflationary rise this year.
