Just spotted this on the Petrolicious site report on a cars and coffee event in Malibu!
I didn't think the Vee would be legal for 25 years from production start in the USA... so about 2026?

and an interesting article on the absurd import rules including the show car clause that Bill Gates got passed into law so he could get a Porsche 959. The Clio can't get in with this rule because more than 500 were produced. I heard the 25 year rule was originally introduced after lobbying by Mercedes years ago when they were massively overcharging US customers who then imported their own new cars from Europe. Sound Familiar!
Only instead of here where the EU made them drop their prices, in the land of the free where money talks the Government went along with Mercs idea. :rollseyes:
