2nd Cambelt change.Change dephasers?

Hi after a long chat with RPD,is it confirmed you need to change the dephasers.Car is on 25k and wondering if its essential

As I understand it Al, when the dephasers are crocked - there's a horrible grumble on tick over.
I probably wouldn't be rushing to change them unless the noise was infuriating.
Buying dephasers now though (while freely available) is a good idea... assuming you're looking at long-term Vee ownership.

Thanks no selling next year after belts done but wondered if it was necessary.There is no rattle etc
on cold start

Not necessary if they are not making a racket. :approve:

Not service items so no recommended interval to change, they can go after 25k miles or still be fine after 250k, just the luck of the draw and proper oil changes :approve:
