I'm after the metal part between the head and the dizzy, I don't know how it is called, for the 21 Turbo. On the head side it is driven by the cam, on the other side is the finger for the dizzy. It has to be in good working condition and the 3 bolt holes should not be broken;-)

Distributor drive.

@Craig Righton might have one in the spares I left in the blue car? I'll check for one at home.

I have one on the car (that will stay on that engine) an 2 or 3 broken ones in my spare parts. The bolt holes brake of very easily, maybe the worst designed part of the whole engine...
On one of my spare engines it was fixed with 2K-Metal, that was the engine out of my brothers old 21, it worked until the last day he drove it;-)

They only snap because people don't engage the drive properly before putting the bolts in. You shouldn't pull it in on the bolts, it should be a flush fit before you wind the bolts in. Takes a bit of patience :)

Don't throw the broken ones away we could probably get them repaired if need be.

Yeah I broke one myself like this years ago (shame)

When the 12V head part is the same(???), then I just found on.

After interchanging the part with the 2 pins, that go into the 2 holes in the cam, I managed to get the 12V head distributor on the 8V head. (without breaking it;-) ) I've turned the crank a few turns and it seems to work.
I'm still interested in an original 21T second hand distributor if anyone finds one and is going to sell it for a fair price.
