2 Piece AP Disc setup....... possibly even FLOATING

Anyone interested in this? I've spoken to some people who can supply AP Racing Rotor blanks and machine them to suit my purpose. Ally bells machined up too. Usual mullarkey with anodizing colours.
Price should be about in line with Renault parts. These are definitely an improvement, lighter and much better resistance to fatigue. Any interest - Obviously it's cheaper to get more than 1 setup done.

Look a bit like Peter's

2x 330mmx28 6 groove disc + 2x bells ~£500 inc vat

Renault discs are £539.61 inc vat

the 330 by 28 option is not to be advised as the CP6600 is designed to run a minimum worn condition of 28mm so you could end up in a sticky situation.
This solution uses genuine AP discs machined to suit and retains the standard lug mounted AP caliper as opposed to the switch to radial mount.

Don't know about compbrake but this is being done by proper AP routes

My setup is proper 330mm 8 groove AP rotor with uprated AP radial mount calipers to fit.

Seriously good setup! Recommended! :approve:

Speak to Scotty.

Peter :)

Thats the same rotors that i have specced and been discussing with the supplier. Not sure how much of a difference the caliper makes as there needs to be a bracket to mount the radial so it seems like it is negating any stiffness benefit you'd get if the upright was designed for the radial caliper. Maybe it's a little stiffer from side to side. Dunno. Are they sealed them calipers? Some race medels don't have very good sealing for road shit. I assume these are a rally spec caliper. Do you have the number at all?

Sorry i don't have the caliper details to hand. As i said scotty has fitted the setup to a few cars so if you drop him an email he will i'm sure be able to help.

as far as i'm aware he is talking about the separate rotor for the 2 piece fitment. They are more expensive from AP direct though as their machining time is pricey.... I've located AP blanks and a AP specialist to machine up correct fitting parts

I became that package this days from our Steve (renaultalpine), but without screws.
Can someone tell me what kind of screws i need and how mutch torque is the best to close them ??
