New Discs & Bells

OK, just going to throw this one out there..............I'm quite expecting to be shot-down, but only trying to get involved in the Forum/Club and do my bit.

Been communicating with Ben at Mulgari Automotive about the two piece Disc & Bell setup they are going to possibly "re-do" for the V6 Clio.

Now I mentioned that "maybe" some of the Guys on this Forum "might" be interested "if" the price is good.

Last email response from Ben:
Thanks for your reply, we do still make to order the discs and bells for the V6. I am just updating the prices and also looking at how much discount we can put your way as well as the members of V6 Owners club, obviously the bigger the batch we make the smaller the cost for yourself and others that may be interested. I will put together a price for a single run, five and then ten so you can see the difference, will also see what I can do to get the price down for you.

Just for your reference some info on the bells, they are a 330x28mm brake setup with a 50mm brake pad area. The two piece design and cooling veins aid in cooling. 12 bolt pattern. Also the bell itself has a 3mm spacer built in, to push the front wheels out a little 6mm overall. If required we can supply in a variety of colours, we tend to run either gold or black but up to yourself.

Just to make things clear, I don't know Ben and I'm most definitely not doing this for any gains.................just stumbled across these on the laptop and thought I might see is we can buy our V6 Disc any cheaper than the expense they already are.

So, just waiting for a price back, and once posted, if any one is interested let me know...............obviously if the price is just too pricey compared to say, K-Tec/Compbrakes offerings, then I'll just scrap the idea straight away.

At least I can't be blamed for not trying to do my bit.
Thanks Ladies & Gents,
Hoogi

Apecs are the best option price wise by along way ,I have them fitted to mine front and rear and do a excellent job ,no different to Renault originals at a fraction of the price £200 all in :approve: .made available through the club a while back .

Have you seen the ones Stephen Dell made?? Not sure if they are the ones you mention (Compbrakes) could be...

Not seen them Ali...............have a look at the Mulgari Automotive website and you'll be able to see the ones I spotted.

I have a set from the original group buy (fitted to the car) with two piece bell and rotor setup. Decent but i know they were expensive at the time and you can buy originals now for half the price. Although i do like the two piece setup (yes they look good too!), if i were replacing again i would probably save the pennies and buy normal discs given the huge price difference.

Site under development...unless i'm going blind (Quite likely!)

Yep, it's under development/upgrade but you can/should still be able to see the Clio V6 pic of the Disc/Bells.............just to get a taste.

why not use an AP rotor that is the correct size? 330x30, seems silly going down to a 28mm (i "think" a 32mm will fit)

Good Point.............only spotted that myself...............in saying that he still hasn't got back to me !?!
Which seems to be the norm these days with Vendors/Manufacturers

I can get them made up no problem, my V6 if off the road at the moment anyway, so i can send the hubs off and get it all measured up
