1978 Renault 12 Frog Dog. Definitely slow, slightly low.

Exhaust catches the floor but other than that quite well. Smooth infact, you wouldnt know its 4 to 6inches lower than factory at the front. Brakes are a little wooly but do require a bleed still, pulls along with little effort in 4th from below 30mph so cruises nicely.

oooo she made it to the local shops. Slow pimping, will need to look at the exhaust this week though. Hmm might have to see if i can figure out the radio too as i just get static?

Took her a little further this eve, little pootle to the local post office to collect my new headlight bulbs. Nothing to really report bar the exhaust still seriously needs lifting up. Headlight bulbs look cool, giving it a proper whiff of garlic

Yesterday i noticed i had caused some damage to my shocks, and actually bent them slightly, not happy nut my own doing. They should be fine now but will end up having to go to gaz for a rebuild with new shafts....

Used again this eve for a potter round to pick some tires up for the family daily, feels better again now ive put the front suspension correct, though when giving it a check over after the run out i found my cv boot clip had done a runner, will need to get another new one fitted up.

Exhaust still needs sorting lol

its all there still just pulled really far up and a little worn. was actually looking at it today thinking about either removing it or extending the drop links to it

You have outdone yourself Adey, I didn't think it could get any more hideous than the last old dog but this thing...

Crush it.

Took her for a longer run this eve whilst on the way to a mates for some welding. Through some traffic and so far so good. I think the cv joints are grumbling a bit, that reminds me i need to sort the boot out... the strangest thing happens when you take a pic of it though. from the rear it just looks normal and high but with a slight angle it looks low and cool? need to straighten that bumper too, it looks quite offensive

Been trying to give her as much use as possible. Up to about 40 miles now lol, managed to snap an exhaust rubber so replaced that with a bolt. Future plans are a full exhaust so will just keep bodging it up till that happens. The rear right sits higher than the left so ill do some measured chopping this week to sort that but so far so good. Gets alot of looks when out and about, either because its cool or super shit lol

so where are we up too....

New tires fitted up to the rear wheels, no more old nasty rubber hanging around.

I was still having ground clearance issues, always will have driving a lowered car but it was really bad. Ended up removing the front pipe and shortening it in height, a friend weld it up for me. Ive now tried it 3 up and whilst it will catch on very cambered or old roads its actually fine on most when cruising around.

Ive also done a quick throw in stereo job with a single 6x9 hidden in the dash just so i can have some tunes in the car.

pics in no particular order

So we are currently up to 70 miles of short journeys, (touch wood) no let downs as of yet. Sat in a little traffic too but Renault paranoia is really getting to me. I've spent years watching a temp gauge on any old and new Renault ive owned, very few have had no gauge like this one.... its quite unnerving. So just to to cover my ass a little, especially for the drive to RRG i have taken out RAC cover lol
