Clio 197 cup turbo

I ended up with the 225 Rad. The Crash bar had the centre section removed, and the intercooler fitted in the middles giving plenty of room behind. ( Fitted before I got the car)

Well I booked my tickets for the family last night at around 11.35pm! Intercooler not finished yet, was on autopilot mode forgetting how much less space I have! So hopefully tonight it'll be sorted!

So it's all done, drove it home and it's a blast. Got issue's with the gear linkage, had them before when it gets warm after 15 mins of driving the gears are stiff and hard to get especially 3rd! So it's a different gearbox, so think it can only be the gear linkages??

Intercooler weigh's a bit, checked the fan and it was blowing the wrong way. Seems to be common when using the Meg Rad and Fan.

Or clutch, but then that would be all gears I guess. Make sure the linkage on the box isn't catching anything in the engine bay, mine was fouling the clutch hydraulic line and the bottom of a plastic wiring loom guide.

Does your stick naturally self Centre? Mine doesn't?

So it made it to Csf and it was great, gearshift was annoying, but getting used to it most of the time! IMG_20190706_145741.webp
Then Today had to get Lou's Ph1 out of the garage to have a clean up, so took some photos of the two together don't think it's been out for 2 years!

So today I tried my Obd reader and torque light app to see what my intake temps were. Unfortunately being a Cup it doesn't have
ambient temperatures! 😢 But the readings were pretty good on this warm evening.

When i set off from work it had been sitting for around 15 mins running whilst I tried to get it to work. Had to use WiFi in the end as the Bluetooth doesn't seem to work?
When I left the intake temp was 44° and water temp was at about 95° the readings are after a good blast on some A and B roads on the way home.

I reckon ambient was around 23-24°

Haven't updated in a while, Done 3.5k miles in it now, still going well. Have an oil leak from the cam cover I need to sort, I've bought some loctite sealant to sort it, I bought an R27 roof decal to go with my satin black sprint spoiler. IMG_20190902_132123.webp
I've tried to purchase 2 front splitters and been let down twice!!

But this did turn up in the post today.

Not sure on it yet, but my original bonnet is hanging up in the garage so it's no biggie, I think if it's positioned properly it looks pretty good but I have seen some in odd places.

On another note, I build race cars for other people and always wanted my own. So I may be considering purchasing this genuine X85 Cup Race shell.

To Rebuild to full Cup racer spec/better over a long period. Sadev will cost a small fortune so may run std box until I have the funds.

Haven't even mentioned it to the Mrs yet..
