J reg could be either ph1 or ph2 but the listing says 1991 so yeah if that's correct, it would have started out as a ph1

It's costing me 4k at the mo for 250-300bhp, another 1.5k and i'd get 350bhp although I am doing the work myself.

I'm going to have to sit down for a night with a few beers when the mrs is out and get on with it. Engine has been finished, just need a turbo, downpipe, wiring, ECU and some other niggly bits.

I will get a report up soon i'll add it to the one I started.

14K seems possoble to me IF the engine is forged as claimed and it would have to be fully forged, not just the pistons, i know on the Evo a forged cosworth crank shaft is 3k just by itself
