Anyone would think these cars where Lambos or something exotic with the way they are treated. It's just a clio with a engine in the boot, I'm sure if the belts and pump have been changed previously they will not self destruct after covering so little mileage.

Jim Green's former Vee.............viewed and test drove it in July 2011.

Seemed to have gone through the hands of a few owners since Jim owned it.

It was in good condition, and I suspect it still is..........not a bad price either considering the recent uplift in prices.

I think the V6 Clio ticks both of those, but it's the last one that sums up the car.

I suppose you could say the same about an early Lamborghini, but the later ones are just Audis with an engine in the boot, aren't they?

I will cheerfully give you a diatribe on the effects of heat cycling, ozone and age hardening on rubbers, both natural and synthetic if you want but I think it might bore you to death! In general the belts are safe way beyond the specified 5 years. BUT this gent is advertising the car as perfect and well maintained hence the statement of overdue, selling on hoping someone who buys it doesn't know and get caught with pants round the ankles and a hefty bill! :rofl: :approve:

Please don't try and compare a purpose built high performance car to a clio, that's a laughable comparison.

I will agree that the clio is unusual and unique compared to the run of the mill range, but I will never see it as a exotic.

There was no comparison, just drawing your attention to the meaning of the word 'Exotic' as used in the English language, and how appropriate it is in the context of the Clio V6. You obviously have your own definition of the word.

My reference to the engine in-the-back-Audi was just irony.....Google it.

Sure the Clio's not the fastest, quickest, best handling car in the world. But that's not the reason we all own them. My daily is significantly better in all three criteria's yet I still enjoy the Clio. I wouldn't call it exotic either, but I wouldn't flame somebody that did.

Not flaming the car itself, just some if the comments I read are laughable!

Anyhow the car above is well priced for the milage despite the cambelt history, that's what I was trying to say, lost track
