1/2 a Vee

Kett

New Member
Well that's what it feels like.
Some familiar traits with the drive train, noise, handling and gear knob!
It even raises 1/2 Vee smile when driven!

Major differences: it has a comedy turning circle (opposite end of spectrum to Vee), it doesn't inspire confidence over 60mph, it has a pretty decent back seat. 1M mpg.
Brill city car.

I bought this pre-REG with zero miles for £7.25k. Spec sheet says £12.8k.
Renault have got some inconsistencies.

I have it's dwarf sister. As much of it is a Renault, looking up parts on Renault parts system now asks if you want Daimler Benz or Renault part number.

How does the Twingo GT drive Kett?

Don't think I would have paid more than £10K for it, but at the price you paid for it would make a very compelling proposition for a town runner.....

I have the TCe version (same engine as GT but down-tuned).

I bought it as a third car which meant that it's under no pressure to tick all the boxes expected of a main daily.

The joy of driving it is the feeling of nostalgia. Cars have gotten too heavy, understeery and bland
It's weight and bhp mirrors an 1981 XR2.

The thrumming 3-cyl coming from the rear, crisp balance and the novelty of its turning circle continue to entertain.

Unexpectedly, it has become my first choice steer unless there motorway mile munching involved - where it too feels old skool and somewhat vulnerable. Not sure whether the lowered GT is better in that department... maybe I'll book a test drive?
