I've been looking for some silkolene oil for my car, but I can only find 5w-40 and 10w - 50...Just looked in the history of the car and it's normally had 10w-50 put into it. Is this Oil too thick? Should i use another Brand that does 10w- 40, or will 5w - 40 be okay?

Do you need to remove the sump pan studs to remove the pan?!
I have got to the stage of trying to get the sump out!
But it wont budge, ive loosened the subframe but it loose but no real movement!

apparently there is a way of gettin the sump off of a 19 16v phase2' without removing the engine
all the bolts are out and the gearbox studs are of????????

iv found a small leak of oil which drips from the deflector guard under the sump, im not sure what this is or what it means, or wether its coming from the driveshaft as that is also above the leak.
the car doesnt burn oil or water and it doesnt smoke. just i havent got under there to check it...
I have a sump on a spare engine and the one on the current williams engine in the car and both of them have seriously seized torx bolts, how on earth am i supposed to get them off? two of the bolts have rounded on the willy engine and i just cant get the others off on the spare engine.

inside of my old cracked sump (1995 phase 2 16v) there is a black plastic part bolted inside, however it does not fit inside of my spare one?? :?
does anyone know what it is and why it doesn't fit and do i need it?
Just looking through my Haynes manual and im insure what my f7p engine would have as it lists both? Engine oil 3.5litre for steel and 4.2 litres for aluminium.

i've smashed a hole out of my sump, so need a new one, whats involved with the fitting.
also how hard is it to fit a new subframe on my drive? engine out or no?
I have just had my precious R19 16v serviced and the garage managed to shear the sump plug because they didn't have the correct plug washer.
They allowed me to drive it home and it sadly bled all over the drive.
Please can anyone help me find a replacement sump ?

I have an annoying leak from the sump on my le car2 turbo
It is leaking from the sump rim.

Will a phase 2 sump fit a phase 1 block?
Are all phase 1 engine and 2 blocks the same? If so all parts interchangeable, eg water pump, pulleys and bearings?
right guys like it says above i need to get my oil pressure back to rights
from cold the oil pressure at tick over sits at about 2.5 bar but once it gets to running temp the oil pressure on tick over drops to nothing (well .2 of a bar )
