Been told it may be possible so wondered why its not done more often if it is? Would there be much less power than a williams and any more than a valver?
Could be a possible alternative...
do you have to change the head bolts every time they are torqued up coz i have just taken my head off but only bought the bolts bout a week ago or should i replace them anyway

I've got to change the headgasket on the F7R as the fucker has just gone just after the car went through its MOT. FFS :(
I don't mind taking the engine out again, but how difficult in reality is it without having to take the engine out?

Im running ITB's now, the old bloke left the old injecotr rail in as a way of blanking the holes up (but leaving all the rail and injectors unplugged.
BUt it looks shit and i want to bin it and lathe up some plugs i can slot in, AKA cliolord style.
But i dont have any measuring equipment...
Is there anyway to tell if a head has been skimmed before? Only reason being is i think there may have been a possibilty that my willy head has been skimmed before - can they be skimmed again??
Whilst the clio is being rebuilt over winter I'm toying with the idea hybridising! If i was a get a f7r bottom end could I use my f7p head? What sort of difference in power would I expect over an f7r head?
Am I right in thinking that I will also need to change the ecu for a williams one?
hi i have for sale sony head unit 52x4 cdx-ca850 and 6 disc changer cdx-t62 both in good condition and comes with leads and 2 remotes one for streeing wheel and a normal one as well 45 pound will get p+p tomoz thanks
been away for a few months so the car has not been used but before i went away i put a new rad on and all was fine then all of a sudden it started getting to about 3/4 on the temp gauge on about 75ish and it never did it before always sat in the middle then got back drove it and was fine did not...
My R19 TSE (approx 18 yrs old) is leaking a little oil and it appears to be coming from the aera of the cylinder head gasket, not the sump.
And it only leaks when the engine is hot.
Having a new head gasket fitted in a garage is out of the question as it would cost probably more than 1,000...
I'm currently building a F7P-722 clio 16v lump, have rebuilt the bottom end using new rings, bearings and seals throughout and had the crank, flywheel and clutch lightned and balanced. bores re-honed. Now its what to do with the cylinder head because for a N-A car, this is where the power will...
Hi guys, I'm after a F7R (megane 2.0 16v or Williams Clio 16v) 2.0 16v Cylinder head and also gearbox from same model (think its JC5 gearbox) to mate to my F7P engine.. Also I'm after a Ph.1 Clio 16v front sub-frame so that I can start building it up to fit! cheers

So far we've got a knackered Radiator, a twisty and knackered alternator bolt thing and lots of cuts and bruises :icon_evil: oh and a lack of faith in putting it back together :icon_smile:
i have a clio mk1 ph3 with a 1.2 8v diet engine im after a cylinder head and have been offered one out of a mk1 1.2 8v but not a diet engine will it fit
ok folks cracked my old head, got a new one got it skimmed, pressure tested, ported and gas flowed,
now im no mecanic but im guesing there is a certain tightness and a certain order the head bolts must be tightend, so can sum1 let me know which way to do it cheers

i have a spare Valver head, with cams, and valves etc etc,
How do i go about rebuilding this?
are there any books i can use to help me though this as i have never done this before?
Do i take teh chance to put some lairy cams/pullys in it?
