I love these cars. I've been involved with them for many years...

So I need new front suspension springs for the 5 as one broke, but all I can seem to find are lowering ones. Any one know of some that are the same or very close to the standard oe ones?
Cheers
Since I'm watching this forum for quite a while now, I thought it was time to finally introduce myself.
Another Dutch guy, currently living in the Rotterdam area. Owned my current 5 GT Turbo from 2008 and started restoring it in 2010. Took me around 5 years to 'complete', although it's never...
I've advertised it before, but now really looking to sell my Renault 5 GT Turbo EBS Convertible. After around £11K - it cost me more than £15K to restore!
Renault 5 GT Turbo EBS Convertible. It's very rare, being one of only 14 made in Right-Hand Drive and one of the earlier type (the car was...
Boot badges in red, 2 pics missing and small hole where pins were. The "Renault 5" badge is a bit bent and weak just after the R. Looks like it's been lacquered . £60 posted

Hi all,
With a heavy heart I've come to the conclusion, I have to get rid of the 5. It's in a pretty sorry state and I don't and probably will never have the time or the funds to repair it. The main issue is body work. It needs the usual, cills (both inner (patched already) and outers)...
Anyone have any tips to stop the downpipe to exhast joint blowing!!
No matter what I do it always seems to leak from one side or the other. I'm renewing the flexible joint tension springs mated to standard exhaust... only to find black soot all over the stupid adapter ring thing!! Evidence as if...
Hi Guys,
:help.gif:
Someone decided to steal the center caps from my standard Phase 2 Wheels so i'm now on the lookout for a set.
I understand that they may not be available separately so if you have a full set of wheels with caps available I would also be interested at the right price :ay...
A simple fix I'm sure.
About 50% of the time when driving, I get the oil and temperature warning lights come on.
I've replaced the "connector of doom"
And cleaned up earths that I know of.
Just wondered if anyone has had this problem before.
Car is a G reg phase 2, 5 gt turbo.
Thanks.
Thought I would update on my recent purchase of a 1988 Phase 1.5, purchased E224 FFG end of last year, already had new sills, jacking points and bumper mounts, but needed some more TLC. Just had re-spray in original pearl white, POR15 to underside, new brakes and some fettling, both engine and...
