So, went to Caffeine&Machine for the Renaultsport & Alpine night in the megane 280 cup and as expected, it was an easy journey… cruise control on, heated seats on. some proper nice motors turned up. Shame it wasn’t in the summer as I would’ve stopped for a lot longer. Good to catch up with some of the TurboRenault lot, shame everyone couldn’t make it. Missus really enjoyed it as she’s never been and we took the dog aswell and he loved the puppachino.
I 100% promise next few updates will be of the renny 5…. Will be taking it to C&M on the 2nd of December to the Renault Reunion meet at 1pm.

Went to the “unofficial” Renault meet at C&M today. Was pretty cold!!! No much of a turn up which I’m not surprised many turned up, Some nice car turned up though. My mate came in his LG Clio F1 and I had another mate in with me who’s also got a Clio.
This Trophy-r was gorgeous 
never seen one in the flesh before. You can tell they’re different to the 280/300’s. Front camber must be -2.5/3degrees. The rear defuser is amazing with the akraprovic exhaust… love to have one on mine but won’t want to pay the £5.5k price tag

Firstly… hope everyone’s had a good Christmas and a new year 
bought china’s finest amp gauge last year, looked similar to my Zeitronix wideband so thought I’d chance it and see what if eBay’s finest was actually any good. Had to purchase another radio single din plate again…. Also cheap £7 jobby off eBay.
Got to admit the quality was good and it’s a slim gauage just like the Zeitronix so no drilling massive 52mm holes. Also came with a long loom so was easy to wire into the cigarette lighter.
Luckily it was also red to match the wideband 
also had to buy a new ignition barrel as mine locked up just before Retro Rides and I was getting fed up with using the RCD’s for the ignition and starter. Had a word with @Brigsy about new barrels and he told me just to buy a 2nd hand one because he’s had issues in the past with new ones however…. Me being me I found a guy selling “brand new gtt ignition barrels” and I also had discount vouchers on eBay. When the barrel came it didn’t even look like what I’d bought
After getting this through the post I obviously gave the guy some bad feed back because it didn’t even look like what it was advertised!! then I thought I should’ve just listened to brigys the barrel was to long to fit, was actually 10mm longer in some parts and I was desperate to get a barrel so ended up machining some of the rear casing to get it to fit but honestly just wish I’d bought a 2nd had barrel. Ended up getting it to fit right and works fine just hate they wank key but I’ll have to change it for a proper “gtt barrel and key” next time.

Nope, I tried to get onto my account this morning and noticed an email asking to apeal to something I have no idea what but it looks like it’s gone forever
So this could be a first…..
Spoke to Nick at Pure Motorsport and asked to see if he would sell me the primaries for the manifolds they sell. After a year of having it sat on a shelf I’ve decided to get it on.
Honestly took a big gamble on this fitting after taking loads of measurements closest one being the bonnet!! Yeah, that’s how big these things are.
Bought the nessary material to what I thought I needed and chopped it all to size, sent it to a mate who’s a dab had with a tig welder…
Results
I’m absolutely over the moon that it fits!! Looks awesome too.

Tighter than a nuns chuff, looks flipping fantastic, well done. How close is it on the drivers side, looks like it may tap the scuttle area?
There’s loads of room, just the angle of the picture but atleast an inch… it’s a proper cunt to fit though.
