Worn aerial base.

The base on my aerial has started to 'perish', anyone else had this? Are they hard to replace?

I put a request in wanted a while back.

Renault won't let you buy the rubber seal, you need to buy the whole base for 20 coins, something i'm reluctant to do when it's just a seal worth a few pence!

20 squiddlies is not too bad in the great scheme of things. How hard are these to change though? I imagine there is a bolt or something above the roof lining? Anyone got any advice/tips?

Check your price on the aerial base. I had one fitted a few months ago.

The aerial on the mark one VW Passat is identical to the Clio.

Fantastic! I'm not sure how you found that one out, but i'm off to the VW dealers then saturday morning wonder what they actually sell and for how much.
