williams vs impreza..

Hi folks, just wanted some opinions...

Been offered a Clio Williams 3 as a swop for the Impreza.......
The Clios is 100% mint & in perfect working order, full service history, 3 owners, 115,000 miles, original spec/no mods, tax & mot'd for 6 months..

What do you think...??

The Impreza's up for sale for ?3,000 - ?3,500 or so & a mint Williams 3 is valued around the same ball park......

Cheers....

the Williams is only going to go up in value.

The impreza only down.

For me , it depends on reliability. Is the scoob every day car ? Id suggest the williams might be more fragile than the scoob.

very highly rated cars the Williams

Hi Andy, no the scooby is a weekend car & so would the Williams...we're going to meet up & look at each others cars & take it form there....

Knowing me i'll probably go for it as a Williams has always been on my "wanted" list...:icon_cool::icon_cool:

Williams all day long do the rite thing an give the diamond a gud home u no it's the rite thing 2 do!

I would go for neither,

Go for a 21 Turbo and be happy,LOL,:icon_lol:

:icon_wink:

If you're bored of the scoob then get shot by all means but just be careful with the Willy.

You may well have always wanted to own one, but it's never going to be as reliable as you'd hope. Check the rear arches CAREFULLY.. thats the first place the metal cancer sets in.

Pound per smile, you can't beat a little frenchy though.

No, not bored......just fancy a change & i've been looking at Clio Williams for some time now - this one is seriously clean - NO rust on the arches etc......

I really like the Scooby, but it's got no soul............

Watch this space - should be doing the deal over the weekend, so it looks like i'll be back in the Renault fold again...but not in a 21 Turbo - for now...:icon_biggrin:

I love the look of the williams, but its a bit too small really!

Perfect for where i live - all those Dorset B roads just asking for kicking....:icon_twisted::icon_twisted:

Jon take the williams - a future investment in my personal opinion, and pretty quick motor too. Not far behind the 21 and a n/a too. Although I have heard things concerning reliability factors, but at the end of the day worse case scenario is an engine re-build, and who cares so long as you liek the car :icon_smile:

williams

go for the williams m8,i had a williams2 the best small car and most fun car ive ever driven, then i sold it n would love another one but cant afford it just right now:icon_sad:

Exactly Phil.....meeting up with the chap on Saturday morning & i'm 99% sure i'm gonna go for it....at the end of the day any car has the potential to break down - but he's assured me that it's in 100% tip-top condition....

Andy, i did look at 172's, but i've always fancied a williams & in my opinion the williams is far better looking car.....

i miss my wifes valver that was an awesome little car,a williams will make money if kept in good nick service history etc, scoobys only gonna go down in price far too many about now 3 of my friends have them.

21 Turbo all the way,

only my opinon
but good luck Jon boy on what you choose,

still wont beat the red rocket,LOL,:icon_cool:

If you buy the Williams 3 then you will have the rarest outa the 3 Clio Williams made with just 308 3's being made Jon .. ;)

The 3 was the only one to get ABS, a CAT 1 alarm and an electric sunroof and it was a different shade of blue to the Williams 1 & 2 ..

The engine in our 2.0ltr 16v Megane is a follow on from the Williams block and its a hoot ..... when i go up north of Scotland to visit the family i sometimes take the Megane as its a blast on them back country roads, that N/A 16v block is great when its on song past 4krpm ...

Id go for it, its a Williams !! .. nuff said .. ;)
