williams head and ecu

Guest

will a williams head with larger valves and ecu fit my valver engine?
also does the fuel pump or anything else need upgrading if they does?

It's a straight fit for the head.

Do you mean to use a 2.0 ecu on a 1.8 block/2.0 head? If so, I think you'll find it'll run pretty poor, your best sticking to the 1.8 ECU.

Fuel pumps are the same across both models (but different between phase 1 and 2 models).

okay... well i might try to see the differnce.. will the head bring much power/torque?
ofcourse you cant tell without the specs but its fully rebuilt for better performance..

head will bring slighty more power if you use the williams tubular exhaust manifold.

will bring more torque if you use the williams head and the valver manifold.

okay will see what they want for the head then and hopefully get it fitted :)

is it so that the 2.0 ecu would overfuel the 1.8block? or why is it it would give less power or/and run badly?

also would 2.0 camshafts and vernier pullies fit the 1.8?

My thoughts on this would be that the 2.0 Williams head on a 1.8 16v block may reduce low down grunt? It would cause bhp increases at the top of the powerband due to the larger inlet valves, but not significant. Fueling won't be too key I wouldn't have thought and i'm still running a stock fuel pump now.

The williams camshafts have a slightly longer cam duration (by 1* or something lame) I believe although the pullies are the same as a 1.8. If i'm being honest, it may not be worth it
