Why I sold my Zonda and top tips for choosing the right car from the classifieds....

That's not me, but Harry Metcalf's musings in a Q&A style video.

Some interesting insights on the Ferrari F40, 288 GTO, and also about ownership (i.e. why would you like to own whatever car that you are looking to acquire?).

The F40, a real favourite of mine, was the biggest surprise, and I hated the Testarossa, and still do!

Very insightful......or at least I thought so.

What do you think?

Lastly, does anybody remember this quote: “Adding power makes you faster on the straights; subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere”?

I think it summarises how the car industry has changed in recent years.......

Another good watch. I do enjoy Harry's Garage videos. Its a good question to ask yourself, "what are you going to do with it?"

There are lots of cars I love and want to try, but that question means that most of those plans never actually happen and the v6 wins hands down.

His thoughts on the F40 experience where interesting to hear!

Indeed, HM is so down to earth about everything to do with cars. Presumably, that is how he is with life in general.

I do ask myself this question more often now, after making many a wrong call, and the main reason the 182 Trophy, brilliant though it is, had to go as it was not fit for purpose as a daily driver, and why I decided that a V6 Trophy is no longer something I will pursue.

I took a big gulp when HM mentioned one of his Zonda services was >£100k...

But would sell now for 2.5 million pound more ghan he sold it for :ihatpcs: Many of the owners of Mclaren F1’s felt that way too but now they are circa £15million + lol

Harry’s videos are always a good watch, he comes across really well and his knowledge is incredible. I always look at his material when considering a change of car in case he’s reviewed it :approve:

Keep safe everyone [smilie=icon_eek.gif]
