Whiney diff?

Sometimes if i corner hard or the back end gets s bit frisky the gearbox/diff makes a whining noise which slows down after a few seconds, i havnt had the gearbox fluid changed since i've had it which has been 2 years so could this be the problem?

I had a similar prob and it whined abit on the way out of roundabouts at speed . Turned out to be power steering fluid pot was very low as i had i small leak on the pipe. So as a result what fluid was left was moving to one side on cornering hard hence wine. Worth a look first as it would be a cheap fix . Hope you get it sorted

Diff gear went on mine not long after I bought it. Some retaining clip jumped out and wrecked a gear!
