Which cambelt kit ph1

Need to get a cambelt kit for my ph1
Which is best
1. Genuine renault
2. Gates kit
3. Any others ? Tuning companies etc supply these

Genuine Renault only IMO.

I personally think the best bet is buy it from the place fitting it, or theres a huge question over who pays the bill if it snaps.

Theres not much saving in getting an aftermarket one so i wouldnt consider it for warranty reasons and unknown quality issues.

Agree, I want quality part without question but gates kits are £100 cheaper and gates are used by trade for many cars as they OEM quality so just wondered if anyone had used b4
I can prob get renault for trade price as know someone who works at renault dealer , well see

Mate I'd get the garage you are getting to fit it to buy the kit. That way you are fully covered for any problems later on down the line and they can't blame you buying the kit.

Genuine Renault kit = Dayco belt and SKF idlers + tensioner
INA kit = Dayco belt and SKF idlers + tensioner

I fitted the INA kit to my 255 and its fine, same bloody thing! We offer both non genuine and genuine, but the price difference is huge!

Cheers mate , I've used gates on other cars with no probs and skf as both of these are OEM suppliers, what's the cost of the INA kit with a water pump also ?
