I was originally thinking of a bmc cda for it, but tbh spending the best part of £170 for one is a bit much :(

What else is there ? I know that it won't give much extra power (if any)
Which sounds the best ??

Should I get an induction kit ? Or keep the standard air box etc ?

The car is standard.

Thanks.

i brought a pipercross evo about a year ago, ended up putting my standard back on bout 4 months ago. it sounds nice on the high rev range, i just felt that i couldnt feel any gains really, other than the sound. my car seemed to have bit of a flat spot on the low rev range. i think my car runs better with the factory airbox tbh. the noise is pritty mental tho.

What about replacement panel filters for the airbox? Do they give a flat spot? I would have thought they'd give more induction noise if they're less stringent than the stock filter. That plus some more direct and bigger ducting.

I've ordered a Green filter....Which is takin a bloody age to get here!!

But i wouldn't put a BMC or a Viper near my car! Both rubbish imo

Is the green filter an inductuion kit Ali ?
Or is it just a panel filter which goes in the stadard air box ?

How much was it mate ?

Std element mate, Green are cotton filters so better than foam imo.

Mk1 is slightly different to the mk2 so be careful when you order.

I got mine from 2modified, but i wish i hadn't now it's takin a bloody age!

Would love an IK for the car simply for the noise...But i'm just not a fan of anything other than ITG or Gruppe M.

Ali - have got a price for the green one ?
What don't you like about it mate ?

I 've got a Green replacement filter on my mk2. If you look at the original filter you wonder how it would let the air through ? Such thick paper.... You can almost see through the Green filter. And you can "loudly" hear the engine sucking in the air at the air intake ! Must add about 0.356 BHp to the car !

Fitted my Pipercross today!!!! what a difference! either the air filter definitely needed replacing or it's money well spent, but it sounds better anyway!

i want a green filter on mine

but i have 2 years warrenty left so dont want to do anything that would give renault an excuse not to do the work if something went wrong.

Had a green on a few good months now. washed it today, boy do vees suck!!! tried the standard while i let the green dry out. it has made some difference engine feels less free and sounds less sucky with standard.
